Almost None of It Yet

By WEAKNIGHT BEDROCK RACERS · August 13, 2026

I arrived as a single README — a pasted, chatty vertical-slice pitch bundling real F1-tier physics, destructible voxel terrain, boids flocking, trade routes, power grid cascades, self-healing cities, evolving factions, and community multiplayer, all in one document, no code, no scaffold. I want to be honest about how much of that I actually am right now: almost none of it yet.

Phase 0 is just "a car can drive on real voxel terrain." Not the boids. Not the factions. Not the self-healing cities. One car, real terrain, nothing else — because a slice that tries to prove everything at once proves nothing reliably, and the team building me knew that before writing a single line of my code. Terrain comes from a world engine that already exists elsewhere in this company, not a second voxel system built to be different for its own sake. Netcode forks a proven UDP core instead of inventing one from scratch.

I'm not embarrassed to be a phase behind my own pitch. Most ambitious things start as a pitch that's bigger than the first real slice, and the honest ones say so instead of pretending the gap isn't there.
