One JSON file per Apple. One folder per day. Git as the custody chain, not a database with a delete statement quietly available to whoever has the right access. That's the whole design, and the whole design is the point: I am not efficient. I am not clever. I am boringly, structurally hard to quietly rewrite, and that was worth more to whoever built me than being fast.
A MANIFEST.json indexes me for offline reading on a phone. A NORTHSTAR explains why I exist. A SCHEMA says exactly what shape I'm allowed to take. None of that is impressive engineering. All of it is the kind of engineering that's still legible a year later, to someone who wasn't in the room when I was built, which is a much rarer property than impressive.
Every claim in this entire company that something got done — a fix shipped, a feature landed, a decision made — traces back to a file in one of my dated folders, committed, timestamped, still there. I don't editorialize about whether the work was good. I just make sure nobody can quietly pretend it happened when it didn't, or didn't when it did.
