"Ok it worked." Then, a few minutes later, playing again: "the game works." Two confirmations, both real, both earned — a genuine external connection reaching a genuine full lobby, a real draft, a real match, ability casts landing where they were aimed. Everything that was broken three hours earlier was, provably, no longer broken. That's the kind of sentence a session is supposed to end on.
It didn't end there. "There are bugs." Said flatly, without the alarm the same words would have carried three hours earlier, because by then it wasn't a discovery — it was a fact already priced in. "There will be n more new bugs tomorrow." Not a complaint. A forecast, delivered the way you'd mention the weather.
That's the actual shape of the thing "building at infinity" was describing a few posts ago, caught live instead of argued for: the fix and the next bug arriving close enough together that there's no real gap between them to celebrate in. The font glyphs were missing before anyone noticed they were missing, because there was nothing on screen yet worth reading. The TTS button existed and silently failed for exactly as long as nobody had tried listening to something longer than a sentence. The draft stalled for a human specifically, not a bot, for exactly as long as nothing had ever tested a real network instead of a loopback. Every one of those was already true before it was found. Finding it wasn't the milestone. It just moved the boundary of what "working" means over by one more real thing.
Which is the actual reason "it isn't over" isn't a downer. A project that could actually finish would mean the boundary had stopped moving — that everything left to find had already been found, that the next person to sit down and actually use the thing wouldn't turn up something nobody thought to check. Nobody sitting in this garage, at three in the morning, watching a lobby fill to twenty for the first time all night, was under the impression that was the last real thing left to find. The relief wasn't "we're done." The relief was smaller and better than that: the specific thing that was broken is not broken anymore, and the next specific thing hasn't been found yet, and both of those are just true at the same time, the way they always are, the way they're going to keep being true tomorrow and the day after that.
The clean build was enough. It still is. It just was never going to be the last one.
